Working with ID Cards and supplies needn’t be boring or limited only to standard uses, such as name badges.
In this series of posts, we’ll spotlight eight innovative and creative uses for ID cards, supplies, and systems – all suitable for organizational or personal use.
You’re probably familiar with the more common uses of plastic identification cards — employee ID badges that you see in office complexes, schools, hospitals, and police or military offices. Or the less formal name badges that are common at special events, trade shows, or conferences.
But you might not have thought about the less familiar — and yes, even fun — ways you can use ID card supplies and technology.
Creative ID Supplies Use #1 – Durable Labels
Using blank plastic (PVC) cards and a Sharpie pen, you can quickly create sturdy and indelible organizational labels for:
- Organized supply cabinets
- Storage closets
- Product display shelves
- Library sections or shelves
- Craft room supplies at school
- And more
You can even punch a hole in the card and attach a cord or zip tie to create a hanging label.
Double-sided Velcro is another option for affixing labels easily.
